Aesthetics and COVID-19: What You Should Know

As researchers, scientists, and the medical community learn more about how to treat and minimize the spread of COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to stay informed about the safety precautions and guidelines.

At Ashburn Laser & Skincare Clinic, the comfort and safety of our patients and staff at our clinic in Ashburn, Virginia, has always been our top priority.

Here’s how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our services, and the precautions put in place by our medical director, Nasrin E. Ejtemaee, MD, and the rest of our dedicated staff to protect your health and safety during your next visit to our clinic.

How to stay safe at your next aesthetics appointment

This is an understandably scary and confusing time. Since the COVID-19 virus is still new, information is constantly being updated and changing.

If you’re healthy, aren’t exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, and haven’t recently come into contact with someone that has been exposed to the coronavirus, you can still indulge in some much-needed self-care and one or more of our aesthetic services.

We are following guidelines and disinfecting our equipment between clients, and you can do your part, too, by taking some safety precautions.

Is an aesthetic appointment a good idea right now?

Along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Academy of Dermatology has issued safety guidelines designed to help keep you and our staff safe during your appointment.

We recommend that you call our office if you have any questions or concerns before scheduling your appointment for body contouring, Botox®, or any of our aesthetic services.

One of our staff members will be happy to answer your questions and give you the information you need in order to prepare for your visit.

How to keep you safe during your appointment

Your safety has always been our first priority. Here are some of the ADA guidelines for protecting yourself and our staff during your next visit:

Appointment times may be spaced out and more limited during COVID-19 to enforce social distancing for the safety and comfort of our patients and staff.

We’re also following all CDC, ADA, and local guidelines for operating safely, which includes additional cleaning and sanitizing of common surfaces and all patient and staff areas.

Self-care is especially important during difficult times, and by taking a few precautions you can continue to safely enjoy our services.

For more information about our services and the safety guidelines and precautions in place during COVID-19, contact our office today, and we’ll be happy to answer your questions and address your concerns.
